Modeled after the <item> element of the RSS 2.0 specification, a Blog Entry record in regards to the XWebBlog web service consists of:

  • an identifier
  • a created date, representing when the record was or will be posted live
  • title
  • url
  • author
  • body

By consuming the web service, client applications can display a specific Blog Entry, all Weblog Entries, Entries posted within a specific date range, as well as perform data manipulation on individual Blog Entry records.

The links below represent all the SOAP methods exposed by the XWebBlog web service. Each provides a description, documentation and links to additional support resources.

adds a new Blog Entry.

updates Blog Entry.

deletes a Blog Entry.

GETNEWENTRYID:

returns a new Blog Entry record identifier.

LOADREPLY:

returns a specific Blog Reply.

performs data manipulation on individual Blog Reply records.

ADDREPLY:

adds a new Blog Reply.
