Cloud computing is one of the terms du joir these days in tech. A historic substitute is “server-side.” A more modern equivalent, still very much in use, is “Web-based.”
And with the Web in mind, I’d like to posit a short and simple question here: When are all those ones and zeros floating around the Net going to click big with mobile. More specifically, when can we expect to see the US in particular shift to mainstream acceptance of the mobile Internet? And will that cloud-in-your-pocket picture seem all that different than what we have already come to experience on our standard set of desktop computer browsers?
