The convergence of the Web with your mobile phone gained pace Monday at the World Mobile Conference.
Microsoft Corp. announced the acquisition of Danger, a Silicon Valley software company that specializes in mobile Web services and features a well-regarded user interface to boot. Nokia, the world's largest handset maker, announced two new services as it moved to expand its business from hardware to the Internet. And Sony Ericsson announced a premium handset to capture the Web convergence market.
While having a cameras and music on cell phones is old news, the next big step is to make mobile phones as diverse as personal desktop computers.
