Every now and again, I'll get call from a number I don't recognize. I normally don't answer unless I'm expecting a call, I know who it is, or I'm in a good mood. Imagine my surprise when that number calls back again the next day, and the day after that. Enter Sullr, a new Web service that will take a phone number, search the Web for it, display the business or person who owns the number, and display the owner's location on a map.
Sullr aggregates information from multiple locations across the Web. The service only has data on listed landlines at the moment, but is working to expand its into available cell phone listings. The fact that Sullr is able to search multiple listings for phone number information isn't particularly groundbreaking, but the service's excellent interface certainly simplifies the process.
