On-Demand Integration: Addressing the SOA Challenge
|
Based on architectures that provide greater economy of scale and immediate value delivery, On-Demand models, such as Software On-Demand (or Software as a Service) are driving significant reductions in Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and time-to-market. Software On-Demand is set to explode with an annual growth rate of more than 20 percent. As IT incrementally migrates towards On-Demand models, it is necessary to be able to integrate On-Demand services with existing on-premises applications and processes. As the availability of On-Demand is increasing, so is the demand for solutions to help consume, integrate, and orchestrate these services to provide new business value.
Software On-Demand, or Software as a Service, is an example of a new business model that is having increasing impact across the IT industry. “On-Demand” refers to an architecture in which applications and services are hosted and maintained by a provider.
