The survey of 300 senior IT professionals revealed that SOA is becoming a popular method for tackling systems integration.
SOA is a means of coupling standardised software services for use by multiple applications in order to cut duplication, reduce maintenance costs and improve integration.
Of the firms engaged in SOA projects, 52% were already using the technology, 21% planned to go live within the next year, and 27% planned to implement it within two years.
