In its 2005 US Enterprise SOA Survey released today, Yankee Group announced that 2006 will be a benchmark year for service-oriented architecture (SOA). What once was used primarily by large enterprises to rescue applications and processes in distress is now reaching ubiquitous implementation in the US, regardless of size or vertical industry designation.
The Yankee Group 2005 US Enterprise SOA Survey, which polled more than 300 IT decision-makers from SMBs and large US enterprises, examines how corporations evaluate and acquire web services and SOA infrastructure and deployment expertise. The survey also examines current and future requirements and deployment stages and time frames, budgets and allocation, as well as perceived benefits and business drivers.
