Industry experts from Europe and North America gathered today at the opening
of the inaugural Vordel User Conference. The XML Web Services security company,
hosted the industry's first user conference of its kind, with representation
from firms such as CapGemini, Entrust, Fortis ASR, Fujitsu, Software AG, RSA
Security, Thales and SAIC in attendance.
Vordel CEO, Vic Morris speaking at the opening of the two-day event said,
"We're delighted with the attendance at this event and view it as a key
milestone, not only for Vordel, but the broader security industry too. We are
providing the right learning and networking opportunities for our users and
partners to debate the issues affecting them in order to improve security best
practices and examine different avenues to success."
Focusing on the themes
of security for XML and Service Oriented Architectures, keynote presentations
include those from Johnathan Airey, at Software AG, John Madelin, VP Business
Development EMEA with RSA Security, Jeremy Boorer, Senior PS Consultant at
Entrust Technologies, Paddy Keenan, Managing Consultant with QA Training and
Paul Simmonds, Global Information Security Director, ICI Plc.
