IBM has unveiled a new software portfolio that extends the reach of content management using web services, to enable all types of data to be captured, managed and searched as part of normal business processes.
IBM's new software also forms part of IBM’s Project Cinnamon, the company's effort to improve the speed and efficiency with which XML-based documents are processed.
The technology delivers automated indexing and searching capabilities, providing better control over structured and unstructured data repositories, making it easier for end users to store and manage content.
IBM's new content management portfolio includes IBM DB2 Content Manager 8.3 to provide complete automation of the capture and management of XML documents, and IBM DB2 Document Manager 8.3 to deliver records management integration and providing simplified and automated document lifecycle management.
