Buzzwords come and go in our industry. Those of us who've been around for a while tend to be a bit jaded when we hear about the latest and greatest technology. Are we just on the receiving end of more analyst hype?

Industry analyst firms like Yankee Group and Gartner are having a field day hosting Web conferences and selling reports that tout a "shifting of the integration paradigm", and vendors of software development tools are (again) telling us that there are new ways to develop apps better, faster, and cheaper.
What is this new technology, and what does it mean for iSeries users?
