Maria specializes in designing and implementing databases systems, providing database solutions for both OLTP and OLAP
in small and very large environments. In addition, Maria has designed and supported database systems for ETL management
and Business Intelligence with highly complex mortgage lending analytics.
An articulate and clear-sighted strategist, she has the ability to define the desired solution in both business and
technical terms, and the management ability to execute the plan necessary to achieve that solution in the most direct
and efficient manner.
Maria joined Sysdome, an ASP provider of mortgage fraud detection, as VP of Engineering and Technology. At Sysdome,
she led the technology team to re-engineer, build stability and data security to its real-time mortgage fraud detection
algorithm. At Homestore, Inc., she joined the company as a Database Engineer, when revenues were some $60 million, and
was then rapidly promoted through the ranks to become Director of Database Engineering. Realtor.com is the flagship
website for Homestore.com, Homebuilder.com, Homestore.com which serves over 7 million page views daily.
Prior to Homestore, Maria served in various roles in Information Technology as Database Engineer, Database
Administrator and Programmer.
Maria worked at Mullin Consulting supporting databases for an executive benefits consulting firm. The firm designs,
implements, and administers tailored executive benefit plans, and administers more than $11 billion in assets serving
clients that range from FORTUNE 25 companies to large, privately held companies.
Maria has implemented database solutions and supported database enviroments for large companies specializing in
mortgage lending such as Countrywide, FIServ and recently with a multi-billion dollar real estate mortgage information
industry.
Graduating with a B.S. in Computer Sciences, she started her career in programming and along the way developed a
real expertise in VLDB databases in complex and large user environments.
